- The difference between a wheelchair and transport chair is that the transport chair must be pushed, because it does not have the big side wheels where the person can turn themselves.

Get help measuring yourself or your loved one for the best chair fit. Your Seat Width is the width of the your back-side when sitting on a flat surface. Measure for the Seat Depth by measuring from the back of your butt to the inside of your knee. Back height - this from the top of the shoulders down to the bottom of the back-side when sitting flat.
Seat-to-Floor height is important if the patient is going to propel the transport wheelchair using their feet. For a taller person pushing the wheelchair, look for handles that extend to 19"..
